Betsson: Lodden finishes on 17th place in the Grand Final
Betsson pro Johnny Lodden close to final table in Monte Carlo. During the last week Team Betsson with Johnny Lodden, William Thorson and Sören Kongsgaard have been in Monte Carlo playing the biggest poker tournament on the European Poker Tour this season. With a buy in of € 10 000 a prize pool was gathered on an enormous € 8 420 000 and over € 2 000 000 is rewarded to the winner. Johnny Lodden was among the top five until the end of day 4.
Three Team Betsson players started this week in Monte Carlo. Two of them went out early in the tournament but one guy was in the top of the field in 3 out of five days. Johnny Lodden which is one of the most well known players in Norway and on the European Poker Tour has had a great week in Monte Carlo.

With a starting stack on 15 000 Johnny soon doubled his stack with his aggressive style and outperformed lot of his opponents. After day 1 he had 88 k, after day 2 he had 380 k and after day 3 623 k which kept him in top five of the field during 3 days.

Until day four out of five Johnny had a quit comfortable ride through the tournament taken care of his huge stack with an aggressive style against the short stacked. Day 4 Johnny met some players with deep stacks as him self and was up to some very tough decisions. The coin flips that had been with him the last days were now against him. We counted it to a total of four coin flips the fourth day and no one of these went Johnny's way.

Then it was typical that just a coin flip would be the deciding one for Johnny's future in the tournament. When going all in preflop Johnny went out of the tournament with pocket eights against ace jack. Jack on the flop and Johnny was history and leaved the casino very disappointed of not reaching the final table.
