Poker: Pro Poker Player Opens Tuition Site
A professional poker player in Dartmouth has set up a new site to teach prospective punters about the game online.
For beginners there are explanations of poker jargon, while intermediate players can receive tuition about what hands to play and the strategy to play them successfully.

Information also exists on tournaments and the more challenging derivatives, such as Stud Poker and Omaha.

Accomplished players, meanwhile, can get advice on how to enter the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker.

The site has been set up by Dan Mason, 26, who is a professional poker player.

His aim is to tap into what has become one of the hottest online sectors over the last year.

According to Ladbrokes, some 13 million adults in the UK have experienced poker and last year Briton's spent £3.5 billion gambling online.

However, a growing number of online gamblers are women. Said Mason: "The latest research from Nielsen shows that the typical net gambler is a middle-aged housewife logging on to play in the afternoon."
