Screw Thy Neighbor

Ace is low. King is High. Three stacks of equal amounts placed in front of the player. Each player is then dealt one card face down.

You don’t want to have the lowest card. The lowest card will throw one stack in.

After the deal, the player to the dealer's left looks at his card and decides whether or not he will keep it or pass it. If he decides to pass it, he passes to his left. The player on the left must pass unless he has a King. If he has a King, he ceremoniously slaps it on top of the table face up, sticking the player with his original card.

When play gets to the dealer, he can either keep the card passed to him, or turn one up from the stack. If the dealer decided to take from the stack, he must first turn his original card up.

After all decisions are made, all cards are turned face up. Again, low man kicks a stack in. If there is more than one person with the same low card, then they all kick in a stack.

Play continues with the same dealer until one player remains. Cards are not shuffled until the amount of cards remaining will not cover a full play.

Strategy note: If you are passed a two, and handed the other person an Ace, you would obviously hold that two knowing that at least one person was lower than you.
