Winner Hoyt Corkins, who keeps 60 head of cattle back home, wore a black cowboy hat and boots to the final table, playing No Limit Texas Hold 'Em against five top players on a Hollywood set in the Grand Pequot Ballroom.
Corkins started the game with the most chips –– $1.2 million worth –– and eliminated his competition over five hours by repeatedly going "all in," or risking his entire stack. He waited out his opponents' decisions by staring straight ahead and crossing his arms over his chest, removing his sunglasses only after he beat his last opponent, Mohamed Ibrahim of Long Beach, Calif.
"I was worried the whole time," Corkins admitted.
The audience loved him.
