PokerStars.com is planning to kick things off on September 3 from half-past two in the afternoon with a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em event featuring a $1.25 million guarantee.
However, the organisers of the WCOOP stated that they are eager to receive feedback from players on the preliminary schedule and comments and suggestions can be sent to WCOOP@PokerStars.com.
The second event planned for this year’s biggest online poker tournament also takes place on September 3 with a $215 buy-in razz game at half-past four in the afternoon promising a pot of $200,000. This is to be followed on September 4 by a pot-limit Omaha event with a $500,000 guarantee and a no-limit single draw two-to-seven competition with rebuys promising a total pot of $200,000.
Other events of note include a no-limit hold’em match with a total of one million dollars up for grabs on September 5 with a buy-in of $109 followed by an identical game the following day for a $215 stake.
A high-roller no-limit hold’em event promising a two million dollar guarantee will take place on September 6 with a buy-in of $10,300 while a few hours later a two-day no-limit hold’em contest with a total of three million dollars on the line will get underway.
The 2009 WCOOP will conclude on September 20 with a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em event at 12:45 in the afternoon promising a one million dollar guarantee before a $10,300 buy-in HORSE high-roller tourney kicks off a few hours later also promising a cool million.
The two-day $5,200 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event for the 2009 WCOOP is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 20 from half-past four in the afternoon promising ten million dollars in total prizes.
