With the theme “What happens in Vegas – is entirely up to you” Cake Poker is pleased to announce that their no strings attached World Series of Poker* (WSOP*) satellites kick off today.

While many online poker sites require that their WSOP* satellite winners wear logo-covered gear, stay at certain hotels and use their winnings for certain events, Cake Poker’s winners have no strings attached to their WSOP* prize packages.

This year, Cake Poker is offering players the chance to win $2,500 and $12,500 for the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. While some sites govern exactly how and when players should spend their WSOP* prize money, Cake’s WSOP* prize packages are flexible. Other sites have a laundry list of terms, conditions, rules, regulations and decrees about how satellite winners should get to Vegas – where they should stay, which tables they should play – even what they should wear. Cake WSOP* prize packages come with no strings attached, whatsoever.

Cake Poker’s 2010 World Series of Poker* offerings include:

- WSOP* $2500 and $12,500 prize packages – cash, SNG and reward (Gold Chip & Gold Card) qualifiers will be available.

- WSOP* $2,500 satellites are offered in a five step SNG series – players can jump in at any level of course, with the first step starting at $1.

- WSOP* $12,500 Finals play Sundays at 4 PM ET ($350 +$24 fee) with satellites starting at $3.

Cake Poker cardroom manager Lee Jones notes, “We are excited about this year’s World Series and are delighted to offer satellites to our players. Our players get to concentrate and focus on their game, instead of worrying about wearing the proper shirt to keep their free hotel room. We will show our appreciation and reward players who choose to wear our gear, but we’re certainly not going to police it. We think our players will appreciate that we want to send them to the WSOP* - for the love of the game, not our corporate objectives.”

For players who’d like to get to Vegas on their own terms, Cake Poker is the clear winner.

Poker Tips

In Texas Hold'em, if someone suddenly bets into you or raises, and you are considering folding, be sure to first look at the amount of chips that the player has in front of him. If he is out of chips it's likely that he is bluff raising/betting because he knows he will go all-in on that hand anyway.
