FTOPS Awarding Big

FullTiltPoker.com has revealed that online competitor ‘Smouse156’ took home over $76,000 after winning the $535 buy-in six max pot-limit Omaha tournament of its Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) on Saturday.

Now in its 13th edition, FTOPS began last Wednesday and is set to have offered 25 events and a total prize pool of $19 million before its closes with the main event this Sunday from six o’clock in the evening New York time.

The six max pot-limit Omaha tournament over the weekend was FTOPS’ sixth event and saw 833 competitors battle it out for their portion of the $416,500 prize pool, which was $66,500 above the $350,000 guarantee.

Bowing out in 102nd spot, player ‘mx4ever’ took home $791 for his effort alongside 17 other competitors, while the next-placed 18 online contenders walked away richer to the tune of $874. This was followed by $999 for the next best twelve while $1,166 was awarded to the dozen contenders finishing above those.

Continuing this system of awarding gradually larger amounts to the better finishing players, $1,374 went to those placing 37th to 42nd, $1,624 to 31st to 36th, $1,915 to 25th to 30th and $2,290 for 19th to 24th.

The prizes grew even bigger with 16th to 18th getting $2,832 followed by $3,581 for 13th to 15th and $4,914 for eleventh and twelfth. Online competitors‘Avi011’ and ‘Pokerccini’ each went home with $6,455 for finishing ninth and tenth respectively while ‘l__MCMK__l’ was awarded with $8,954 for placing eighth.

There was $8,954 for ‘DayDough’ in seventh with ‘blend84’ walking away with $14,369 for sixth before ‘NoPasaran’ took home $22,491 after finishing in fifth spot. It was also a good day for ‘thewood503’ with $31,654 for fourth while ‘countrymac’ just missed out on the big money to take home $41,650 in third.

The final two players agreed a deal for the remaining jackpot meaning that ‘zelik’ had won $71,000 after the dust had settled for finishing in second while ‘Smouse156’ could enjoy $76,232 for top spot.

Today will see three FTOPS events including a $322 buy-in no-limit hold’em shootout competition featuring a $200,000 guarantee from two o’clock in the afternoon New York time. This will be followed by a $353 HORSE event with a $300,000 guarantee and a $216 no-limit hold’em six-max turbo game with a $500,000 guarantee from nine o’clock in the evening New York time.
