The Celebrity Invitational is scheduled to take place from February 20 to 21 at the city’s Commerce Casino while the final table will kick off in front of the television cameras on March 3.
“This tournament will be filled with Hollywood stars and poker gods,” read a statement from PartyPoker.
“Last year, the event was won by poker professional Freddy Deeb. That said, with the stellar celebrity line-up, poor Freddie kept getting mistaken for Danny De Vito. The event is invitation only and PartyPoker can get you on the exclusive guest list.
“To win a package for the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational, all you need to do is use PartyPoints to enter the daily qualifiers.”
PartyPoker is holding its daily qualifiers every day until Saturday with the final due to be held on January 31 at 3.15pm New York time offering the 15 packages.
New players and those who have not deposited any funds can still take part for a chance to travel to Los Angeles with PartyPoker offering a special freeroll on February 7 from 2.45pm New York time. To take part and win the one seat, players must make a first real-money deposit between now and February 6 and be over 21 years of age. The sole winner will then join the celebrities and poker professionals for the main event in March.
